BitWorks Music is a full-service multimedia distribution company. We provide online media distribution and advanced content development services for artists and their labels. One of our objectives is to give complete control of content to the artists, something that has strangely become a rarity in the music industry. In the next generation albums developed by our team, lossless FLAC audio and maximum bitrate MP3 (320 kbps) are standard. Complete liner notes, photos, video, and an interactive browsable interface are included with every album.

Our interface is simple to use. There is no software to install and there is no DRM (digital rights management) to restrict personal use. We use PayPal for payment processing and accept all major credit cards.

BitWorks Music now offers seamless integration with artists' websites and online communities such as MySpace and other social networking sites.

All works sold at BitWorks are copyright reserved by the artists and by BitWorks Music. Artists retain the copyright to their work under a non-exclusive contract with BitWorks Music.

Founder David Oskardmay is a software developer and musician living in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He was a guitarist with the avant-progressive rock group Smokin' Granny. In 2006, he started BitWorks to make the best possible music downloads available anywhere.
